Illegal Immigrants and Jobs: It is a myth that illegal immigrants only do work that no legal citizen or immigrant would want to do. It is exasperating to see that America has immigrants waiting to come legally, eager and willing to work wherever needed, yet illegal immigrants are given priority and better treatment. It is a crude, insipid joke to think that no citizen (especially African-American) would want an employment opportunity if presented one. This is a form of slavery, plain and simple. Businesses do whatever they can to take advantage of those who cross the border illegally. Lower salary and the ability to phase other ethnicities out are too appealing for greedy corporations to pass up.

People who are on welfare or other government assistance programs can surely benefit from extra money earned through a job. Parolees or people on probation have a hard enough time getting jobs with a criminal record. Issuing a job as part of the terms of parole/probation is much better than letting OTHER criminals get that job. Teenage dropouts or expelled students could certainly use a job if they fit the qualifications; you don’t need a Master’s degree to do generic manual labor. In general, this whole system can be used for any legal citizen that hasn’t been convicted of a violent crime, and will stop the revolving door syndrome. American citizens need help, and they need it now. Too many local problems exist for it to be reasonable to take on the burdens of an admittedly corrupt and selfish nation like Mexico.

The war on terrorism was initially linked to illegal drug and drug money used to sponsor terrorists. Knowing fully well that Mexico is a ripe and vicious source of such hazards, why weren’t the borders immediately secured? Why did it take “The No Spin Zone” to pressure the administration and politicians to the point of coming up with a policy for the borders? It is pathetic how little the American government really looks out for its’ legal citizens, while brashly parading around as champions against terrorism and drugs. "Oh what fools we mortals be." God bless us.
